VeterinarianDr. Jennifer Halberg was born in Houston, Texas and moved to San Antonio in the early 80's. She attended Clark High School, Mary Baldwin College for her undergrad, and Texas A&M University for her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include working out and staying physically fit, reading, listening to music, and going to concerts and musicals. She is married and has a daughter, a Labrador retriever named Jager, a mixed breed named Madchen, a terrier mix named Sadie and a domestic shorthair named Tigger. Dr. Halberg has been with the Deerfield family since 2007.

Dr. Kronewetter loves general surgery especially cosmetic and soft tissue cases, dentistry and feline medicine. When not at the veterinary hospital, she is an avid DIY'er, a woodworker, an amateur chef and a beginner wine connoisseur. She has 2 pugs, Gracie and Bobi, and a Bengal-mix cat named Lily.

Dr. Maria Hey also has a passion for photography, as you will quickly notice just by stepping into Deerfield Animal Hospital's doors. In addition to her positions as Operations Director and Mom, she runs a small part-time photography business, Maria Hey Photography. When Dr. Maria isn’t at the practice or visiting her kids, she is either taking photos or traveling to a 3rd world country handing out solar lights to people who don’t have electricity.

Dr. Anne Faseler was born in McAllen, Texas. Her family moved around quite a bit in her preschool years because her father was in the Army. After settling down in Plano, Texas in 1976, she completed school and then attended Texas A&M University for both her bachelor’s degree (1991) and her DVM (1994). She met her husband Steve at A&M, and they were married in 1990. They lived in Plano until December 2004 and then moved to the San Antonio area and she joined the Deerfield family in January 2005. They now have four beautiful daughters and she truly enjoys being an involved mom. She loves watching football and the

Dr. Jana Grant grew up in Northern Virginia and Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology and anthropology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, she made a big move to California to attend veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences. After graduation in 2009, she moved to Sacramento, CA to complete a one-year small animal internship at Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. After working in a small animal practice in Elk Grove, CA for several years, she elected to make another big move to Texas to be closer to friends. She was happy to join the Deerfield family in 2017. Her interests include behavior, dermatology, internal medicine, and radiology. Dr. Grant is married and has one daughter. They also share their home with an English Bulldog, cat, fish, tortoise, and various rescued animals.
